To everyone that bashed Princess Bridals..

I am sorry that you did not enjoy your experience there but let me tell you they are simply amazing.... I have had nothing but a positive experience and love them all to death......

There seemed to be alot of people *****!ng about them and yada yada yada and I can not tell you that I agree because I don't

The gown I chose was amazing and so were the bm and moh gowns.....

It's cool that you are venting about your 'bad experience' but this is someone's livelihood (sp)....

All I can say is I am all for princess bridals and can not believe i made the mistake of going elsewhere to begin with.

It happens. Brides are so emotionally invested in their gowns that if they get unacceptable service, they really freak out, although they don't seem to do it IN THE STORE as far as I can tell. I would never let anyone treat me the way some brides complain they've been treated. But then I'm a bit older than most of the brides here. I bought my gown from the Commack Wedding Center, which also gets frequently bashed around here. I'm not going to stay they had the best service ever, but they were totally professional with me, just a bit slow at times when I was tired and wanted to get out of there, and the salesperson who helped me most times I was there remembered that my mom told her about my health problems and always asked how I was feeling, etc. Which was kind of her. And most importantly, they gave me the best price by far of any salon on LI, and even beat RK Bridals by a few bucks. This after calling other salons on LI and having to listen to diatribes about their competitors and hard sales pitches where they tried to convince me that their high prices were a better deal. Uh, no. It's true, capping alterations can save you money but that doesn't mean I couldn't have taken my gown and gone elsewhere if I didn't like the alteration quote I received. As it turned out, I didn't get any alterations at all, and if I had bought my gown from the worst offender Bay Shore I would have been more than $300 in a hole.

it's good to get reviews here and on The Knot, but your own instincts are just as valuable.

I am so happy for you that you found the gown you love (for you and your party) and that you had a great experience. I for one, did not. They were incredibly rude from the get go. There was an older lady who commented on me being flat chested (Um...I'm a DD...what more does she need??? haha) and she was driving me nuts. Every gown I *DIDNT* want was what she pulled for me to try.....needless to say, i stopped trying them on and just focused on my girls.
Then when we did find the gowns the girls liked, the younger man and the older woman REFUSED to write the style number down for us. I was buying 10 BM dresses including 1 FG and 1 MOH dress and she said (verbatim) 'if you want to buy the dress somewhere else and you need the style number you can find it on line'. Um...who said i was buying it anywhere else? Then the guy quoted me $190 per gown (supposidly discounted) because i needed so many. Well, I went back there with a GF of mine who is also getting married, and i told her they may give her a discount..she is having 5 girls in her party and they quoted her $160 for the same dress. So....none of us bought our gowns there. They were very unaccomodating and rude, and then tried to rip me off. Needless to say, there is no perfect store. I wound up getting my Oleg Cassini gown at David's Bridals and i've heard horror stories from there too. It's all in your OWN experience. Luckily for you, you had a great one and you found what you needed. In the end, your own experience is the only one that matters. Congrats!! Post pics!!
