..that is MY question. Are you planning on feeding your vendors (ie, dj/emcee, photo/videographer, etc) at the reception?
I'd like to get some feedback before we make our decision.
TIA!

Yes, I feel you should. Most halls charge 1/2 price for their meals.
I personally feel it's the right thing to do.

I have a question. Are they considered one of your guests? If so, I'm really close to my maximum!

We are feeding our vendors. We pay half if they order chicken, I don't understand why it can't be half for all the entrees we are having. and I honostly don't think they will be ordering the chicken.
That's kinda funny. All of our vendor meals are 1/2 price. I don't know what they are feeing them.
We are feeding ours, b/c my mother is Italian & it is in her nature to feed everyone.
Our band asked in the their worksheet if they will be fed, so I guess I could say no & they will plan accordingly, but my uncle used to paly in weddign bands as a 2nd job, so he didn't always have time to eat before goign to the event he was palying & has told stories aout a tiem hen he as so hungry & could smell the food being seved. . .it made me feel bad, but I was going to do it anyway.
And yes, the photographers ( I have 2 and an assistant) are there all freaking day, so of course they get fed. I wouldn't want to not eat from between 2 pm & midnight! I'd be all shaky with the camera!

I don't think so. If you are under your minimum, they count, but you pay full price for them.
You aren't till next year though. You'll have some nos. They'll still put up a table of them, but it might be a little tight.

Oh ok. We should be fine. We'll def have some no's. The minimum for us is 75 and we'll def have that many, so that's good.

You guys are right. It's only right to feed the vendors. We definitely will feed the photo/videographer... however, what I'm up in the air about is the DJ/MC. The photo/video is with us allll day. And the dj is only there for 4 hours. But if I feed the photo/video, then I'd feel wrong leaving other vendors out. I need to find out what the discount is at Leonard's.... does anyone know?
They definately should be counted in the head count, but who knows when they get a chance to eat a meal - CH?

All kidding aside, I think it is the proper thing to do, and most halls give you a discount on their meals...
I agree.

All of our vendors are being fed half price, same as kids. I think that is because we ASSUME they will not consume alcohol.....!!
