To invite or not to invite . . . (shower ?)

I work in a VERY small district where we are very much in constant contact with our administrators. I am curious if I should or should not invite my principal and department chairperson to my shower. I would feel funny if they heard about my shower and didn't receive an invite, but I also feel like I am putting them in an uncomfortable spot if they did not expect to be invited. Please vote! TIA

Is this a work shower? If so, then I'd say yes. If not, then I'd say you don't have to

Are they invited to your shower? Is this shower just at work or is it family and friends? I know that when one of my coworkers was getting married we threw her a bridal shower at work that was seperate from whatever her family did. I think that might be your best bet, not that could really ask someone to throw you a shower, but I hope you know what I am getting at.

I don't think that you have to invite them. If you want to it's a different story. Most work places throw a seperate shower. I think if you don't want to invite them, that that is fine.
