to invite or not to invite update...AGAIN on bottom
as some of you might remember a few weeks ago I made a post about whether or not to invite this one friend I have (had).
She and I were very close when we were younger but drifted however I always considered her a friend. She even gave me sh it for not asking her to be in my wedding. She didn't come to my e-party due to a business trip. Pulled a no show at my shower and yet I still invited her...
I just got her response and she replied no. This was the reason I was unsure about inviting her all together or not. I didn't want to feel the disappointment if she said no. Which she did. What bothers me the most is there was never even a phone call or anything about why she can't come.
sorry to hear about this maybe it's better off now you know this is not a true friend and all the people who are important will be there...

That stinks!! Can this all be because you didn't ask her to be in your BP?? It's crazy if she's holding that kind of grudge.

When she confronted me she and I talked it out.. hugged it out... I explained my part she explained hers. We were out with a group of girls and had a great time the rest of the evening. IDK and like you said if so, that's rediculous

Sorry lady, at least you know you did the right thing, this is all on her. Try not to let it get you down, there will be lots of people that love you and that can't wait to be at your wedding to celebrate with you.

hey Shauna, at least u tried and she can never come back and say u never invited..in the end shes the one that never did her part..but ur fmily and friends and the ppl who really want to be there for u, will be there.

(I mean, im sorry your hurt).
But this bish has shown her true colors to you. I think its the kind of thing where you can say that you learn who your REAL friends are.
She does NOT deserve YOU, or to share in the joy of your day. You WILL have people surrounding you who love you and care for you, not this girl who is petty and weak.
Petty= 'Well, im not in the BP, im not coming to anything then'!
Weak = Wont even tell you she cant handle it, or is mad, or sad.
Dont you DARE waste one more moment on her! Sometimes friendships do have a shelf life. You can look back and say it was good. Going forward you can fill your life with true people with no agenda.
Ok. Off my soapbox. But you go girl. Hold your head high and dont give her another thought. Having a great wedding and having word get back to her about how FAB it was is revenge/good enough!

I did just get a text back apparently her boyfriend planned a surprise vaca for them and she is upset too. Honestly, I don't believe her. I called her out and said how she wasn't at the e-party or shower and it seems like it is something more.... She said no she has just been really crazy and was sick for one of my parties..... I finished it by saying whatever I'm not going to figh twith you. I just always thought you'd be at my wedding. Have fun on your vacation....
I'm DONE-ZO!! The real reason I don't believe her is bc why the hell wouldn't she call me and tell me why she wasn't coming. She just sends back the card with a decline.... it's so impersonal...
