To Open or not to open?

A package arrived yesterday from Macy's to me, my shower is in 11 days, do i open it or save it for the shower?

Ok, a package had been sent to FMIL house (where the shower is being held) and on the outside of the box it said who it was from. So tonight when I get home I will look and see who it is from. And then I will decide if it should be opened or not.

I opened all the gifts that were delivered to my house before the shower AT the shower and announced who it was from, even if they weren't there. I think it's the nice thing to do since they went through the trouble of buying it for you, to give them the honor of letting everyone see what they bought you. Then you can take a picture of yourself opening it at your shower, if you want, and include it in their thank you card as a nice touch!

My vote is to wait until the shower.

just open a little of the wrapping or the box then seal it up again.

Open it very carefully and see what it is then re wrap it!, its not like someone personal wraped it so you can deff. get away with it!!! lol

11 days doesn't seem that long until there is a present with your name on it, lol


OR unless your wedding day is in 11 days!!

Ok, so i opened the box it came in from UPS, and am not opening the actual present, ofcourse i know what it is since it says on the packing slip.

I view this as splitting the difference between opening and not opening. I will save the actual present opening for the shower.

Don't open it-this way you can open it at the shower and say who it's from.
