to pay or not to pay.....

I have recently begun to check out hotels for my guests that have to travel(which would be most of my guests). I am finding that this is going to be very expensive and go way over our budget. Do I make reservations and have them pay???? HELP!

It is generally understood that a guest pays for their own transportation and lodging if they are accepting an invitation to attend your wedding. You should check out hotels, reserve a block of rooms (usually at a discounted group rate) and can even find out about discounted airline travel and get that information to them a few months in advance of your wedding but you are definitely not responsible for those costs (unless you're really rich and can afford to foot the bill :o))

I am using the Windwatch in Hauppauge

You do the room block but they pay for the rooms. My rate is $139. I had to guarentee 10 rooms, one of which will be our room for the wedding night. They are very helpful there.
