To petticoat or not?

Hello! My dress is an Aline dress, and not really too puffy. I'd like to make it a little more 'ballgownish'. Should I get a petticoat or a hoop skirt? Anybody wearing either? Where is a good place to buy them?

To petticoat or not?

I have a ball gown. I'm going to buy a hoop because the hoop gives the dress a better shape and the fabric will stay away from my legs. Try one on where you bought your dress.

THIS. My mom wore a hoop on her wedding day and will never for get when she sat down in the limo and the hoop went up and hit the best man. His head got caught under the hoop - in her dress. ohhhh mama.

Ughhh I am in the same boat. I am getting married in June though so having EXTRA fabric is like the death of me....still undecided =(
