I am having a very good photographer / videographer at my wedding, however, I have seen wedding themed disposable cameras, and I thought that would be adorable to get the perspective of the guests at their tables. My family and fiancee are dead set against this and think it is tacky. What do you all think?
I agree.... tacky. The last wedding I was at they had them, but no one touched them.
Yea I don't think anyone uses these anymore. It ends up being just pictures of people at that table anyway...for the most part people will use their cameras or phones for that.
you rarely get a picture you want. Or your guest steals them. I dont think its a good idea and a waste of money.
I've seen it done...I think what you really need to think about is the type of people coming to your wedding. Are they interactive people? Or are they more sit back and watch people? I don't really see people at my wedding using them other than our friends

Ive seen the cameras out on the tables with a little list for the table to complete...like 'get a picture of the flowergirl,' or 'get a pic of the bride and groom kissing'...cute stuff like that..that may be fun!
at a few of the recent weddings that we were at, they have diy business card on the table for a website(www.dotphoto.com) to upload all of the pictures that the guests take. It's great cause within 2 or 3 days there's tons of pics up of your wedding. I think this is much better then the cameras cause your getting better quality photos.
I'm not a fan. And personally with so many people have their own digital cameras it's a waste. Maybe you can set up a picture share site and have cards printed asking your guest to upload pictures to it instead.

Yes to this! I have seen this before at a wedding I attended. However, they ran into the issue that no one really uploaded their pics to the website exept for me & another person LOL If your confident your friends will upload thier pics then do it. It's all central & you can order prints from 1 location. Good luck.
Tacky. I feel like the updated version of this is the photo montage that the DJ plays.
It really depends on the type of guests you have. I don't think my friends would really use it. Everyone has cameras and smart phones so it will go on facebook anyways.
I think in this age when everyone has a camera in their phone it is a waste of money to put out disposable cameras. I like the idea of setting up a site for people to upload to though.

Wouldn't do it...the quality isn't great...let everyone use their own cameras and send you the pictures
