To register or not to register...that is the question?

Original post by luvsun27

I was not going to register...because I already own my own home (before I met FH) and I have everything. I also didn't want people to be obligated to buy me anything because I didn't want to have a shower. Now...I'm rethinking my decision. Family members and friends keep asking me where I'm registered...

Should I just go with the flow and register? And have a shower? I just hate to put people out...even though I've been to so many of their showers, always with gift in hand...I'm finding it hard to accept gifts from people and then expect them to give a wedding gift also. Any advice?

Edited to say: Which is better...Bed, Bath & Beyond or Linen's 'N Things?

We have a house already too and didn't really need anything but we still registered. You never know what you will find, plus it is fun to get new stuff.

What about Home Depot - you always need places like that as a homeowner. Or you could register for your HM...there are sites that allow you to do that, just not sure what they are off hand.

You really should register or you will end up with a bunch of gifts from all over creation that you woun't be able to return or you will get 12 wine racks and 10 wine decanters. BBB is the best place to register in my opinion.
