So far, I have only received outrageous quotes. I am paying for an open bar so why not let everyone enjoy themselves? THere is not shame in my game. I resirted to calling a school bus company and was shocked to hear their high quote! Anyone out there whom has found a great deal?

Re: To shuttle the drunks or not to shuttle?`
i am struggling with the same thing. my limo company will provide a 10 person van for 2 trips, which is only going to get half of us to the hotel for just 100 plus gratuity. the hotel does not offer a shuttle. FI and i just decided that if people are drunk and can't drive they'll have to get a cab back.
you cant worry/take care of everyone. its not in our budget. its a hard decision to make but...

At the end of the day, shuttling drunks is no waste of money. More people having a better time at your party. I would do it.

does your hotel offer a shuttle?
Ours did and it was free with a certain number of rooms (10 I think). Everyone loved it.
which hotel did you go with??
I booked at the Courtyard Mariott, at exit 60 on the LIE (ronkonkoma)

it's not in my budget. plus, i've never had that at any wedding i've been to. it's a nice gesture, but not a necessity.
people just need to be responsible for themselves, it's not my job to be responsible for them.

I actually just booked a van service today for my wedding next week. We shopped around for the last 5 months and found nothing reasonable. we just wanted something for AFTER the reception only. Found a company for 14- passenger vans (we are getting 3) for $55 each van limit 2 round trips each. Which is plenty. I would never want a guest to be in a bad situation at the end of the night. JMO.

we got a 14 passenger van from royalty our limo company to pick up guests at the hotel & shuttle them--we got one for before the reception & one for after and each one was $175--so we are paying about $350. We also thought that if there was more than that we could add a few taxis in there. We think it will be enough though since we have about 22 guests staying at the hotel and the watermill is only 10 mins from the hotel.

Royalty limos was 175 and there is another company in Ronkonkoma. I am drawing a blank now on that companies name. Shop around.
Colonial Transportation? I hear they are reasonable.

It's an expense that's worth every penny. God forbid your wedding anniversary be a tragedy and not a day of celebration every year.
My friends have paid about $1000 for a coach bus out on LI.
