OK Ladies with 2 weeks until the big day I am totally stressing about a slip. Here's is a pic of my first fitting, the more I look at it the more I think I need one (they haven't altered my dress yet, so I can still change it) Do you think I NEED one, why is this so stressful
Also WHERE can I get a slip that isn't going to cost me a fortune???
Even though my seamstress said I should I didn't wear a slip because the dress was hot enough ! But with your dress I think I would get something that will help puff it out a little.

Re: To SLIP or NOT to SLIP...HELP!!
i think the dress looks gorgeous w/o the slip but i also think that the slip will add that special touch to make it look stunning. your bridal salon should have a slip for you to buy. or you can try ebay or barrons i think.

Rosa, your dress is beautiful! I don't think you necessarily need a slip, but I personally think it would help fill it out a little especially since you have the pickups - that way they don't look 'deflated' (for lack of a better word). I would go with an a-line slip. I think there's a seller called Bridal_Petticoats on Ebay that sells them for about $30 or under.
HTH!

Your dress is very pretty but I feel like you look the same as I do in my dress without a slip.
I think you should wear a slip to make it a bit more puffy.
My sister in law didn't wear a slip with her gown and you can tell in her pics b/c it looks so flat.

Your dress is very pretty, but I think a slip would give it that extra special something and fill it out a bit more.
You can probably always walk into a David's Bridal and get a slip that day.

I think you should wear a slip with it. Go to the Bridal Salon and try the dress on with different types of slips to see which one is best for your dress.

I would say get a slip....get one of the ones without crinolin. They have ones that are a 'hoop'(not a crazy hoop) that just keep the air flowing down there without crinolin or anything touching you....not hot at all

SLIP! It's worth it-- you are going to want the dress to have a little 'oommfff'... Most dresses are made to have a slip underneath.
I actually had my first fitting yesterday and tried the slip on-- it was comfortable.

Re: To SLIP or NOT to SLIP...HELP!!
I was told you should due to clinging especially if you get hot... sometimes some dresses will stick to your legs... It all depends... I didnt want to wear one but my lady at my bridal shop convinced me (I did not want to add puffiness to my dress so they gave me a not puffy slip) they called it the whimpy slip...

I think it looks great, but would look even better w/a slip on.

Re: To SLIP or NOT to SLIP...HELP!!
At my final fit, I still did not want the slip....but they made me put it on. The girls are right it gave it an extra something.. I ended up getting the slip. I paid 50.00 at david's bridal. I hope that helps. My dress looked so much better with the slip.

I absolutely LOVE your dress on you! I would wear it with a slip though. I tried mine on with and without the slip and everyone with me said the dress was more beautiful with the slip. I think yours would be too. Good Luck!

I would have to agree with getting an A line slip just to make it a little more poofy
