i know for a fact that sarahradio5 did this.

she's not on here very often any more, but she does drop in to check fm's. i would look at her pictures and maybe fm her. i don't remember all the details that she shared.

I did it! I slow danced to 'In My Daughter's Eyes' by Martina McBride. My mom is my best friend & helped me plan my wedding. I wanted to honor her in the same way as my dad! She didn't know about it & I can honestly say, there was no a dry eye in the house!

I also had my dad walk me down the aisle but my mom lifted my veil

That was actually my dad's idea! He thought it was a special way to incorporate my mom in the ceremony

I love 'In My Daughter's Eyes' for a mother/daughter dance

I danced with my mom but to a fast song. We danced to Stacey's Mom because she is Stacey's Mom. Everyone loved it! I wanted to have a special moment with her and I in the spotlight without everyone crying, so I thought this was the best way.

Toni I still love the idea and I know you are cool with it but feel weird about it at the same time. Maybe talk with you Mom and ask her how she wants to dance with you to the song. I'm sure you will have great pics of this dance and you can always invite your guests to join in at some point (if that is ok with your mom too). The band can just ask everyone to join in. Just a thought! Keep smilin'.

That's awesome! Love that. I was at a wedding where the mom and bride danced to 'Isn't She Lovely?' by Stevie Wonder (I think) and it was really nice.

Thank you. Yeah it was a lot of fun. Everyone was on the dance floor and really loved it! That was definitely one of my favorite parts of the wedding. After the song everyone just stayed on the dance floor and it was a great way to get everyone up and dancing, besides being a special moment we shared.
