Why don't you register and start a 'Not Yet Engaged, but Waiting' thread or post on whatever brings you to this board but stops you from posting, that way you can feel more a part of it. Whatever you do, just don't pretend to a bride planning for a wedding.
I think it would be nice to meet more users!

I'm confused? Just because we read and don't post, does that mean that we're not brides? That's not neccessarily true!

I find this board extremely useful and resourceful. The ladies here are incredible. I'm upset that I didn't find you all earlier.

Perhaps it would have been better to create a post that said, 'INTRODUCE YOURSELF' as opposed to accusing the 'lurkers' of not being brides. That aint cool.

BTW, I'm RadioStar . . .nice to meet you.

Wow - that was uncalled for. I dont think EdanEvan is trying to accuse you of anything! She mentioned not engaged yet as only one possibility. She is trying to be kind and incorporate those who dont feel comfortable just jumping in without a engraved invitation.

PS: If you never post, you are considered a lurker. It is not an accusation, its a fact.

I really think you misread her post. I don't think she was accusing all of you of anything, she was reacting to recent turmoil involving people posting as fake brides..which has happened lately.

Welcome to the boards.

Radio star welcome. It is great to meet you. I used to read first and then all of a sudden you are typing away. I just takes awhile.

I actually post and I'm not engaged yet (hopefully I will be really soon!) It helps my boring day at work go faster!
Nobody should be shy about posting just because they're not engaged yet. Asking questions will help you get a jump start on things.....

Evean Evan said nothing wrong to you, lighten up, she meant no harm

Yeah I don't think that EvanEden meant it the way you took it RadioStar. I think she meant that there are alot of girls who read the boards who are not engaged yet. And they only start posting after they become engaged. She was just inviting those girls to participate also.

*In my best carnival voice* Welcome, welcome one and all, I am Shamma, aries, I am originally from Jamaica, let me know a little about you. I currently live in Bklyn and I have been married now 5 months. YIPEE

LIW I think that someone made a great suggestion, maybe you should get rid of the Grooms board and the INlaws board and make that into a Pre-engaged board or something.

Ok, ok . . .I'm sorry!! Maybe I did take it the wrong way. Maybe I'm a little sensitive because I'm just a little stressed. But you know what? I'm less stressed than I was the other day - - -MAINLY BECAUSE OF THE WONDERFUL LADIES ON THIS BOARD!

You know what?? I think it's incredible by which the speed that responses appear on this board. And again, I'm sorry!

**I'm ok . . .thanks for looking out for me. I've found some alternate reception sites!**

Shamma, I agree that's a good idea. And while we're on the topic of new boards, how 'bout one for the Pre-Wedding Dieters/WW folks? It seems like those threads are getting the longest; it might be nice to have a separate place to post our progress/complaints/etc without having to bore the rest of the group with such gory details. Just a thought!

Re: To the ladies that read, but don't post:

Shamma, that's a good idea although I think that thread would wind up getting filled with nothing but complaints! ('When is he going to ask already, dammit?')

I don't think I'd want to be a part of that! Talking to you girls is much more uplifting

Hi, I just found out about this board very recently - I've been mainly on The Knot. I have to agree with a lot of you that this board is so much more friendlier, and it seems move widely visited. Replies are much quicker here than on The Knot.
