Have any of you made your choice for dinner menu selection? Just curious what others are going with.

I think you have the same menu choices as I do @ the Harbor Club. Sam owners -and I think them telling me the same menu. Last year when I booked, they mentioned a new menu being offered. They said I had a choice of the old or new. I don't think I'm going to make many changes to what is offered. I am changing the salmon to either swordfish or tuna. What are you doing?

HI!! I am getting married there but not until next August, so I really haven't even thought about the menu yet with everything else I have to do! When is your wedding and what room are you having?

caf73 - we weren`t given a choice of old or new menu. When we met with them, they just showed us how they were changing the menu, and we liked it. They gave us a few options, like condensing the first two courses into one course .. I believe it`s now mozzarella over baby greens, and that`s what we chose. It will give people more freedom to move around rather than having to sit through another course. Other than that, I think we have 3 plans to choose from. And that`s where I`m having a hard time choosing. NM816 - We`re getting married in September and have the upstairs room - the Majestic Bay Room. Our cocktail hour will be downstairs in the smaller room to the left as you walk in. How about you? Who did you meet with to go over the menus and contract signing? We worked with Daisy .. she was awesome. Have you started to consider other vendors yet?

NM816..... ME and my FI were interested in John Anthonys but the room we wanted was taken on the date that we wanted.... 8-16-02! p.s. how much planning have you done beyond booking the hall???

So far i booked Pictures/video w/ Deja Vu Studios. I am undecided between 2 bands Peter Greco and Arcadia. Kel: I am having the upstairs room too! I loved it. We met with Patti, she was really good too. I booked right on the spot. It was about the 8th place I went to and loved it the minute I walked in! Alisa: Sorry!! Which room did you want? They were already were booked in the downstairs when I went, but I wanted the upstairs anyway. I booked on June 9th, when did you go? Did you book with them for another day or did you go with another place?

That`s so funny ... same with us ... the downstairs room was booked already, but we wanted the upstairs anyway. But I have to say, the renovations they did downstairs came out excellent, and would have made the decision a little tougher had it looked like that when we first went and checked out the place. They were the only place we looked at, and I knew I had to have the upstairs room. My fiance kind of just went along with me and actually preferred the downstairs room, but now he really is feeling great about our choice too. Basically he just felt we should have looked around at other places. Now, though, he`s glad we didn`t waste our time. :) Plus, in the months that have passed ... whenever anyone asks us where the reception is, and if they know of John Anthony`s, we always get a tremendous response. Lots of ooos and ahs over how great things are there. It`s a great reassurance when people respond like that about something you`ve chosen, especically people in the wedding industry.

NM...We were looking in the beginning of April and we were afraid that the upstirs room may have been to large for the number of guests we are having. Actually we decided on the Jericho terrace. We wound up booking at the Jericho Terrace, which we absolutely love as well. Good luck to you with your planning and I am sure that we will be sharing so many of our stories over the next 13 1/2 months=)
