Re: to those who wanted to see the tattoo in response to the bridezilla topic....
its not that bad..that writing is actually pretty cool. i'm sorry but i am a tattooed person as is John and my brothers...all of whom are in the bridal party. i would not care if it showed or not.
heck John and i have our wrists tattooed and they will show...we'll probably purposely get a picture of them. my brother has a sleeve and if he wants to roll up his sleeve at the reception then by all means do it.
a tattoo is PART of someone. its a commitment they make to go through life with this permanent mark. if you cant accept her tattoos then perhaps you shouldnt have asked her to be in your party. its the same as these girls who get mad that their BM's get pregnant. Your wedding is one day...people shouldnt have to live their lives around your one day. there was a recent post about the tattoo issue the other day and yes it is your day but you cant expect people to not live their life because of your wedding. i dont mean this post to be mean, its just how i feel about this topic. you have to remember that no one is going to care as much about your wedding as you. it sounds harsh but its the truth.

i think its ok, it all depends on the person and their personality, if tattoos are a part of who she is and that is how she expresses herself, then fine.
but i have to say, that must have hurt like a biatch!

if that were my friend and that was the tatoo she got, first i would say cool bc the tattoo is really awesome. but then i would freak bc i am a bride who doesnt like tattoo's. I do agree with all the other girls that a tattoo is something that is a part of a person, but i do understand where you are coming from completely. Why not try to find a BM dress that covers the chest area, or request that all your girls wear cardigans/some kind of jacket during the ceremony and then they can let their personalities shine at the reception

just because the bride doesnt like tattoos doesnt mean that the BM's cant. i agree that she shouldnt have promised you something like that..to be honest, that was kind of dumb on her part..because now she looks bad breaking a promise. if the bride doesnt like them..great then dont get one on yourself...but you cant get mad at other girls for doing what they want in their own life. its just a tattoo...EVERYONE has them now-a-days. its more accepted to see them..i dont think it will be that big of a deal. if this was my friend...and i saw her everyday with that tattoo...and then all of a sudden i see her in my wedidng pictures and its airbrushed...shes gonna look weird to me...its not gonna look like her...it would be like you never wearing make up and then on your wedding day they put heavy dark make up on you and you just dont look like yourself.
im not gonna lie...all these tattoo posts lately are making me want to wear my hair up and let my tattoo hang out lol
(i also feel like a certain poster on here who posts 4 paragraphs answers to every post..i gotta stop lol)

If she promised no more visible tattoos and then went and got it... eh? I wouldn't have an issue with the tattoo... I'd have an issue with a friend breaking a promise.
If she already had the tattoo, and I invited her into my wedding party... that's cool, I'd go with it.

im torn with your situation bc i am not a person who has tattoos but i agree that if ppl have tattoos that is something that is a part of them and they shouldn't have to hide it or cover them up...
....however i know i would probably not want that tattoo in all my pics bc its huge!
i am sure you can just try to make sure your photographer doesn't take pics of her back.
as for your friend...she shouldnt have made that promise if she didnt intend to keep it!

if she promised no more visible tats and she got one anyways... then that suucks on her part.... being a tat lover myself (and 2 that are visible to the eye) i would laugh in someone's face if they ever asked me to cover one of my tats... granted, i dont have one in the area that she does, but shes your FRIEND... if you are thinking of not having her in your BP b/c of her tat, then that suucks for you that you refuse to have your best friend since forever a part of the most important day of your life
IMO it would look more ridiculous if you asked her to cover it up and that would be very selfish of you.... its kinda like asking a BM whos a little overweight or preggo not to be in the BP b/c you dont want them to ruin the pics.
you need to take a step back and realize that your wedding day isnt a sh!t show and you are celebrating you and FH getting married b/c you love each other

That's funny because I can't see any tatoos in your wedding pics.
I understand where you are coming from. Obviously you love your friend because you wanted her to be there during your special day. If was WRONG for her to say she wasn't going to get anymore tattoos - and then she did. If she didn't do that then i think this would have been less upsetting to you. I don;t think you want to lose a friendship over this. I know you needed to vent and hopefully things work out for you I am NOT a tattoo person - I don't care what other people do but it is just not my thing. Not EVERYONE has them because I don't lol I might be the only...
