and yes, this is a very sensitive subject for me b/c someone did ask me to cover up my tat to be in their wedding and i laughed at them... its just INK - if the person is your friend, it shouldnt matter

im torn with your situation bc i am not a person who has tattoos but i agree that if ppl have tattoos that is something that is a part of them and they shouldn't have to hide it or cover them up...

....however i know i would probably not want that tattoo in all my pics bc its huge!

i am sure you can just try to make sure your photographer doesn't take pics of her back.

as for your friend...she shouldnt have made that promise if she didnt intend to keep it!

NOT EVERYONE has tattoos and they are NOT accepted by everyone as previous posters said (thats a huge generalization to make)... have they become more commonplace? Yes. But to tell you the truth i wouldnt spend 5000K for pictures and then when you get them your eye goes immediately to the person's ginormous tattoo on their chest? i would prefer they cover it up and id pay for that.

Call me a princess or whatever but i want me and FH to be the focus of our pics JMHO

My opinion on the tattoo topic:
I think its ok to ask nicely to cover up the tattoos...and let your BM/GM know its THEIR CHOICE and they're in your BP no matter what. Then, leave it up to them whether or not they cover it up.

I have BMs with tattoos and never even thought about this. I guess the tattoo thing just doesnt bother me...

haha yeah i realized that after i posted! i guess it would be kinda hard to have the photographer avoid taking pics of her from the front

i've actually seen big ones covered up and maybe it was the sh*t they used but man it was worse being covered. not only could you still see some ink, but the sh*t rubbed off onto everyones dresses...light and dark.

mention to have it covered but let the BM make up her mind if she's going to. you can't force anyone to do anythng...we all know that. if that was the case i'd tell Oprah to give me all her $$$$$

Brides usually pick the dresses, this one would cover it and its not being rude

My two cents is...personally I would never ask a friend to cover herself up to be in my wedding....I would feel as though I was implying something was wrong with her

One of my BMs has rosary beads and cross on her ankle and foot, I got knee length dresses SHE wanted to cover it up bc she felt like oh no in the church, your family....I was like OH NO you are not going crazy to cover it up your my bff and I want you in my bridal party just as you are

If she promised no more visible tattoos and then went and got it... eh? I wouldn't have an issue with the tattoo... I'd have an issue with a friend breaking a promise.

If she already had the tattoo, and I invited her into my wedding party... that's cool, I'd go with it.
