Do not get Japanese Straightening done! It looks good for awhile , but now (1 year later), it is still growing in and is so damaged! I have so much hair that it could fall out for months and no one would ever know. It's just shedding all over. Just words of advice....as I patiently wait for it to grow in, don't do this unless you want to continuously blow your hair out for the time it takes for it ALL to grow in curly. My wedding is in June and I want so badly to cut my hair.....but I am afraid that it won't be long enough for the updo.

I am so sorry! My friend did it also and hates it. It has been 1 1/2 years and she has to blow it staight til it all grows back. It wasn't even pin straight when she 1st did it! I was going to do it but decided against it when I saw hers. I have learned to like my curls after seeing how bad it can get after trying to make it straight permantly. At least I can get it blown staight when I want. I hope yours gets better!

I blow it straight at times and use the flat iron.

I am so sorry I also got it done. I go to get my roots done every 6 months. Was your hair highlighted when you got it done or after? Also if I see any waves coming in I use my ceramic iron to fix them.
