To Toss or Not to Toss-LoL

I love the anniversary dance
Sounds like a great idea that i will probably use
I am not sure how many single people will be there, but i dont think that many, so i am not sure if i will do the toss

I M DEFINATELY TOSSING IT....when FH (then DH) takes it off my leg I want to have a chair already set up with a phone book, rubber chicken, random objects so it looks like he's pulling it from under my dress..

For me...its traditions...I like it but its JMO, i can see why u wouldn;t want to

I caught the bo-k once...FH was a little upset he ddin't catch the garter but its really not that big of a deal...I was jsut glad I shaved my legs that day LOL

see thats wierd bc at all the wedding i have been to ( that i have paid attention to) the garter toss was fixed depending on who caught the bo-k

at my cousin's wedding no one wanted to go up much less catch the bo-k so i actually picked it up off the floor bc everyone was just staring at it!

then guys stood up for the garter toss but no one went for it except for FH. . . so it was cute

HOWEVER, at FBILs wedding - some random girl caught the bo-k and FBIL thought it would be funny if FH caught the garter ( the girl was there without a guest) and so when FH went to put the garter on her they made me stand up there with them . . . and the girl wasnt wearin underwear! i made him stop like way before her knee - FFIL and FMIL even saw it was nasty!

OMG GROSS!!!!!!

im going to do it..its tradition and makes a lot of ppl laugh and its just a fun time.

Thanks Gals Wow. . .'tilde that is a crazy story!!! I was just wondering. . .b/c I have been to many weddings and I noticed that ppl are cutting that part out. . .just curious to see what my LIW girlies thought

we wont be doing it b/c i feel like a lot of ppl feel embarrassed to go up and i wont have that many single friends there...which makes it a little more uncomfortable...im just picturing that scene in the movie picture perfect where jennifer aniston was the only up there and she had to be dragged.

but if u have a good group of single ppl who are up for it...do it! i think its fun.
