Does the hall usually provide these or is this another thing I have to purchase? Thanks!

either way. they will provide them, but if you want your own 'special' ones, you bring them.

Would this be the same as the cake cutter thing? I can see using my toasting flutes again but I don't know if I would use the cake cutter again.

Good question Chell! I would be more inclined to use the cake cutter again but maybe not the flutes.. so maybe I will just purchase the cake cutter or better yet, add it to my bridal registry!

You can register for them, a lot of people do. I was going to but FH's aunt gave them to us this weekend.... I attached pic of mine to give you an idea...
I registered for my toasting flutes and cake cutter set, and already received them for the Engagement Party! Maybe you'll get them for your shower!

got ours off of ebay as a set...under $50
not something we would use again, so i didn't want to get expensive ones that would collect dust.
