So, I was under the assumption that these are two things that you register for. However, I don't really like any of the flutes I have seen at either store I am registered at.
Is it weird to buy these myself? Do I have to register for them???

I don't think you have to register for them if you want to buy them yourself. I have seen girls buying them for themselves. I did not register for them for that same reason that I didn't like any.

I know this may seem weird but im just borrowing a cake cutting set. I just dont find them that important.

I feel you can by them yourself. But, my MIL bought us our flutes and my mom bought us the knive . So it's open to do it anyway! no right or wrong!

You can buy them yourself or register for them....I love the Swarovski crystal ones!! But I also love my parent's toasting flutes and might start a family tradition by using those and passing them on to my children someday.
