Toasting Glasses and Server Set...waste of money??
I may just only get the toasting glasses and have them engraved. But are any of you ladies not doing either or doing only one?
I wanna save money!!!

I was gifted these things, otherwise I am not sure I would buy them for myself.
On the other hand, it might be nice to have even a super inexpensive set that you will just have as a keepsake.
As an alternative, maybe a relative has a set that you can use as a 'something borrowed.'

toasting glasses were $49.99 from bed bath and beyond and the knife set was about the same price

I am not doing either. I even have a server set that I registered for, but I'm not going to bother bringing it. I don't want it to get misplaced and I just don't think I need ANOTHER keepsake. How many keepsakes does one need?

We registered for nice waterford crystal toasting flutes and a cake serving set that matches our china. Figured it would be nice to use during holidays or when we have company over. Love the crystal flutes and we've been getting some good use out of them this week!

We're just doing toasting glasses - I received a beautiful pair of champagne flutes that I registered for at my shower, otherwise would have used a pair that we were given as an engagement gift. We are not using a server set.

We got a set of 4 Waterford Marquis glasses and have used them for mimosas, and just used two of them at the wedding. This way we always think of the wedding when we use them!
Also, we went to a Lenox outlet when we were on vacation in PA and found a cake serving set there for $20. This is becoming our regular serving set for birthdays, holidays, etc. If we hadn't found it for so cheap, I would not have purchased

I got waterford toasting glasses as a gift and we use them every chance we get!! It reminds us of the wedding day.
We got an engraved serving set but I feel it was a waste.

I have both. Blue Waterford Crystal Toasting flutes. I had to have them - simply gorgeous and only spent $63. Got a good deal on the knife and server set plus engraving.

Agreed. I actually borrowed my cousin's server set from Tiffanys (she basically forced me to)
