I am 30....Feeling old not to be in my 20's anymore....
BUT...My wonderful FH threw me a great suprise party on Sunday. I was absolutely clueless! It made me feel better to be around friends and family that I love.
Just wanted to share!

With me, just several weeks shy of my 40th birthday, let me tell you that you should enjoy your 30s - they were the best years for me!! When you're in your 30s, you have a maturity without being 'old'. You're taken more seriously than when you were in your 20s. This will be the decade of career, marriage and perhaps motherhood. Enjoy every second!!

The party was great! It was at a new place that actually opens today that a friend of ours is part owner of. It's called the Farmer Bar in Cutchogue just off of Sound Avenue. They have Memphis BBQ...something different and the food was excellent! Everyone seemed to have a really good time and a lot of the people there were from all the way out in the Bethpage area. I was so suprised when I walked in and saw them all!

COngrats and Happy Birthday! I was depressed leading up to my 30th but then I thought about what adioguardi said. We also got engaged on my 30th birthday (and went to Cancun). It's been great so far and I feel the best is yet to come. HAPPY BIRTHDAY and welcome to a new decade with much more to look forward to.

Happy Birthday! And don't worry about being 30--I think I've had more fun in my 30s than I ever did in my 20s. I am much more comfortable with myself now and have a lot of great accomplishments to look back upon. My early 20s were a particularly uncertain and difficult time--can't say I miss it!

Happy Birthday!!! I am turing 30 in January , but I kind of feel the same way as you about it, a little sad to be leaving my 20s behind. But this is the decade for marriage and children for us so it can't be all bad!
