Today I took a BIG STEP

I attend my WW's meetings every tues, and on the way I always pass this small bridal shop. I have been obessing about the dress iin the window since Feb. but promised myself I am not going to try anything on until may '08 (a year before) Anyways - Today was the first Tuesday in a long time I had nothing to do after my meeting - So I said to myself - 'If' I can find a parking spot then I'll go look at the dress - Well as luck would have it, there was a spot right iin front! (Theres never any parking) So to make a long story short, i tried on the dress and LOVED it! Im going to wait until Jan'08 because they lady told me that they are discontinuing it after that date, until then I plan on trying a few other dresses on over the summer & If I still feel the same way about the dress come Jan '08 Im going to order it, Im so excited!

Do you guys think Im doing the right thing?

Some may say I'm crazy but I'm a big believer in fate and it sounds like fate was on your side today. I also have another motto when it comes to shopping and that is: if you walk away from a purchase and it's something you really like, if you still find yourself thinking about it days or even months later, then it's meant to be and you should go and buy it. If it's still there when you go back then voila, meant to be!

Like you said, you're still going to try on more dresses and you'll see what happens. But if you do still find yourself thinking about that dress and getting that feeling when you think about when you tried it on.....then I say go for it!!!

If you find yourself comparing every dress to that one and you keep going back to that dress.....buy it!!! But make sure you have someone whose opinion you trust look at it with you too!! And maybe take some pictures of yourself in it so you can see it from a different view.

ooh I don't know, sounds like that dress was calling you!! I would still look because you never know...just make sure it won't be a problem to order this one down the line if it doesn't compare to anything else you try on! Good luck!

Fal...I think that dress is yours. I would look around over the summer since you aren't going to order it until Jan 08 but if all you can do is think about that dress then I would definitely buy it. You will look beautiful in anything anyway<3

It sounds as though things are in your favor. First you were able to find a parking spot. Second you found out that in January 08 it will be discontinued. Had you waited until May 08 you would have been severly disappointed. I think you are doing the right thing. After you try on a few more dresses if they don't excite you as much as this one then order it.

I like you said I would wait until 1 year out but there are numerous signs saying I should start a little earlier...like this summer

It's off-the shoulder - sweet heart line, it's a corset on top and then bellows out, it's one of those 'bucny' dresses, lol , the train is LONG, & what makes it really unique or at least i think is, it's pinned up on one side by a beautiful broach, and the underdress has the same beading as the corset does, it's hard to envision but really beautiful.
