Today is Bastille Day. Name your favorite French food.

Boards are SLOW! Food always makes us chatter though. Something OTHER THAN 'French fries' as an answer, please.

I looooooooove French macarons.

I think I may go on my break and buy some at the Macaron Cafe........bon appetit!

I am actually in France right now for work...none of the restaurants are open because it is Bastille Day! I had to have take out Chinese!

I remember there being really good chinese on Rue Cler!

I love moules frites. Love a big pot of mussels in garlicky white white broth then dipping pomme frites and bread in the juices.

Do you have any other recommendations? I am here by myself this time around and have not ventured out too much. I am actually staying at the Marriott Rive Gauche but over the weekend, I could head over to the main area near the Arc.

That's so crazy!!! What's chinese take out like in France??

Not great...I am in Lyon and since it is a holiday, nothing is open. My belly hurts from the food
and I have a big meeting tomorrow! The food is really good near Paris!

I don't know why I assumed you were in Paris, maybe because I wish I was there right now.

I actually do not have any recommendations. The area near Rue Cler is more upscale residential. You get less of the tourist trap food and just good french food. Just because I said upscale, I don't mean the prices are! We happened to stay up the street, so we would end up eating there or near there every night because of the selection. I recommend Cafe du Marche.

The latin quarter (near where you are staying) is filled with great food, mainly of greek and middle eastern food. I haven't been there in a while so I hope this helps. I also highly recommend tripadvisor.com. It helped us out greatly while we were in Spain in May.

Thank you so much!!! I actually have been in Paris since Sunday...I just moved over to Lyon today. I appreciate your help!!! I want to try to make the best of the trip since I am here alone.
