Today was my bridal shower (Added Program)

My MOH picked me up for my 'birthday' lunch today. When I got to the restaurant it was really my bridal shower. There are lots of pics, but I dont have any of them. As soon as I do I will post them. My shower was wonderful, the decorations were so beautiful. I got wonderful gifts, however so many of them were not from our registries. The most amazing thing about my shower was the programs that were made. My FH made programs that started off with our childhoods and told the story of our 7 years of dating, our engagement etc. Then he wrote me a letter on the back. There were pics from all our years together in the program. It was totally amazing, I cried my eyes out. My girls had great games planned, and people won prizes as I opened my gifts. All in all it was amazing. I loved it. Now I feel the real countdown to the wedding is on. I really cant believe I had my bridal shower!

I will be honest, I totally suspected that it was my shower today. But, I was still shocked when I walked in. I cried, and there were like 8 cameras taking pics of me! It was so overwhelming.

Christy, your post just brough tears to my eyes! I guess no re taking of the e shots huh?

The program Tom made sounds so incredibly romantic! OMG I wish John would think to do that, but I doubt it.

Both your registries did so well (I looked ) and you got more on top of that? WOW! I am sooo happy for you!!!!!!! I eagerly await pictures!!!!!!

Nope Jen, we did not retake our pics today. LOL Tom was just trying to throw me off. If I can somehow post the template of the program tom made I will. I was so proud today to be marrying him. He is amazing!

My shower was at a restaurant called the Dragon Gate in Huntington. It was really nice. Here is the wording from the program (VERY LONG) tom made, keep in mind there are adorable pics on each page to go with it.

Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl named Christy, she lived with her younger brother and sister and dreamed of one day becoming a bride...

Her best friend in the whole world was of course...Michelle

Meanwhile...
There was a boy named Tom. He had a younger brother named Rob. They played an awful lot of video games and never gave a second thought about girls and marriage...

Tom's best buddy was Nick...
They started to care about girls, but still played way too many video games.

One day, Tom decided to get a job at the local Grand Union. Luckily for him Christy got a job there that same summer.
They noticed each other instantly and started dating.

They dated in high school and went to her prom together....They went to his prom together. They dated through college and They dated through Tom's law school...

They started their careers together and continued to date each other on for seven years!

Tom got an idea for an upcoming Disney Vacation, he bought Christy a ring and came up with a plan.

The trap was set, Christy had no idea that Tom was FINALLY going to propose!
It went without a hitch and she said YES! and a new chapter in their romance was about to begin.

All the time they have been together was just the beginning of their life long love...and they lived happily ever after.
