And it was the worst experience of my life, I walked out of there in Tears, I get to my appointment and the Owner ( the woman who's going to do my hair) Does not even acknowledge me. So I sit there for 35 minutes and then she says OK you can come now...Not Even a sorry for keeping you waiting. So I sit down in the chair and she goes Oh God who did your color I hope you don't plan on wearing it like that for the Wedding. (I Love my highlights)So I look at her and was like um yes!!! So I showed her the picture of how I would like my hair...and She proceed to carry on how she hates when brides put hair pins in there hair and that it looks childish. I then proceed to tell her that I'm wearing hair pins...she Was like ugh Why?? So she had no clue what she was doing and to make a long story short she teased out my hair and was like you have to much hair SO I have no time to finish...I Have a color waiting. Turns and says that will be $55 and walks away. I said well I was supposed to get a Makeup trial done also...so She says well not today your not!!!! This woman was a Freaking B****. Now I have to find another Salon to do my hair and 10 other girls!!!!! I'm SO upset right now So for the long vent, but I'm just SO mad, I do up do's for weddings..If I had the Time I would do all my girls hair for them..But it's just not possible. Can some one recommend a hair Salon in Suffolk, Holbrook, Sayville area Thanks

I recommend the hair style vendors on this board - they all contacted me when I was in this dilemma and I ended up going with Denise Lee Salon and loved what Lisa did to my hair. My pictures are in my community album!

I go to PJ's hair salon on 112 right... if you take granny road all the way down and make a right onto 112 its right there.
My hair girl is leaving this summer but I have had updos there and they are awesome.
Im not sure of ther availability for 10 girls but you could call and ask.

i'm really sorry steph! i had a bad day too. It is amazing how professional business people conduct themselves... how some people stay in business is beyond me! sometimes i wish i could crawl under a rock and not have to deal with all these rude (somewhat crazy) people.

THAT'S AWFUL!!!!!!
I used to go to Salon on Main in Sayville, Lisa did my hair and she even did an updo for me when I was a BM in a friends wedding. They are great, and pricing was reasonable. The only reason why I don't go there now is that I live in Nassau and it's just too far....hope that helps...

hey steph. sorry you had to deal with that! i cant believe people can be that rude! but you are right, better to deal with that BEFORE your big day rather than on your big day. i still recommend hairspray salon in nesconset. i am using denise (not denise w like i originally told you) and jen for my make-up. they are nothing but sweet to me there! good luck! ~lacey

That is awful! Try Sarah and Brigid Rock...They will come to you and can definitely do 10+ girls (Sarah told me that they have done weddings where there were 14 bridesmaids!!!! )
