And it was the worst experience of my life, I walked out of there in Tears, I get to my appointment and the Owner ( the woman who's going to do my hair) Does not even acknowledge me. So I sit there for 35 minutes and then she says OK you can come now...Not Even a sorry for keeping you waiting. So I sit down in the chair and she goes Oh God who did your color I hope you don't plan on wearing it like that for the Wedding. (I Love my highlights)So I look at her and was like um yes!!! So I showed her the picture of how I would like my hair...and She proceed to carry on how she hates when brides put hair pins in there hair and that it looks childish. I then proceed to tell her that I'm wearing hair pins...she Was like ugh Why?? So she had no clue what she was doing and to make a long story short she teased out my hair and was like you have to much hair SO I have no time to finish...I Have a color waiting. Turns and says that will be $55 and walks away. I said well I was supposed to get a Makeup trial done also...so She says well not today your not!!!! This woman was a Freaking B****. Now I have to find another Salon to do my hair and 10 other girls!!!!! I'm SO upset right now So for the long vent, but I'm just SO mad, I do up do's for weddings..If I had the Time I would do all my girls hair for them..But it's just not possible. Can some one recommend a hair Salon in Suffolk, Holbrook, Sayville area Thanks

that is just awful. i hope you didn't pay for this...if you did, don't feel bad, i once paid for highlight and a cut that i thought were very sub par, especially for the cost.

she may have insulted your color to get you to say 'fix it for me, pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaase' but that's just not how you handle that...especially being the OWNER of your shop.

i would've raised a fuss and caused a scene....i can't stand to watch people get pushed around like that....i just don't let it go.

OMG - that is truly terrible!

I go to Dea in Islip on Main St. I'm just using my regular stylist since I feel most comfortable with her, and I know she is going to go out of her way to make me and my girls happy. Maybe you can go to your regular place?

Since she didn't finish your hair, I would have not paid the full amount. I'm so sorry you had a bad experience!! Make sure you put the full info in your review to make sure that she doesn't get any other bridal business from here, no one should have to go through that. I can't believe the b**** of this woman.

I got my trial (makeup and hair - about 2 hours) done at Vanity Square on Main Street in Sayville. Charlese was my stylist. She listened to what I wanted, gave me advice if I asked for it, didn't tell me that anything I had chosen was a mistake. The pictures of my trial are in my photo album. I'm just going to ask her to go lighter on the eye shadow, cut my bangs shorter, and I bought a clip to hold them back if they become too annoying. But the rest of it I'm keeping.

And Charlese is coming to my Mom's house in Oakdale the day of my wedding (at 6:30am!) to do both. Her rate was more reasonable than anyone else I had contacted who did both makeup and hair and would come to the house on a Sunday.

Thanks girls for all your help. I'm still pissed but I'll have to get over it. I called the Salon this morning and told them I wanted to cancel all 13 appointments I had scheduled for June 24th...She was like oh may I ask your reason why? boy did I give her a mouth full.

Well now I'm off to meet with the catering hall to do my menu....Please god I hope this goes ok!!

OMG...thats terrible...could you FM me where the hair salon is...i definitely would not go there ever again...what about Capozzi's in Sayville off main street...my FSIL gets her hair done there all time..I would call right away!!!!

omg, i cannot even imagine what my reaction would have been! i am using girls from 'symmetry' in stonybrook. i have gone there for years and years for my hair coloring, cuts, up-dos and nails and love them. a hair girl and makeup girl are coming to my mom's house the day of.

Oh my I am sorry you had to deal with such a *****!

I am going to rasin Hair in Bayport. They are on Main street. Francine has been doing my hair for the past 7 years. I love going to her. They might be a little more then other places but they do a great job and are very professional.

She had the nerve to charge you after wasting your time and insulting you?

I would have walked out w/o paying a dime and when asked for the money said-not today.

I didn't know there was a business where you can ignore someone., treat them badly, insult them and then kick them out.

That's some racket she has going there.
