Most are from people I know are coming... like my family, his family and people who were at my shower last week.
But why, oh why, don't they just SEND BACK THE GOSH DARN CARD!!!!!

I don't know, but it is SO FRUSTRATING!!! Some people probably sent it in on the date it was due, so you'll get some more in a few days. Some people also assume that since they told you they would be coming that they don't need to send it in. Give the ones you haven't heard from a few days, and then start making calls.

Oh, I'm sorry. B/C people are RUDE and they think you are a mind reader. I think it is so tacky when people don't respond. I'ts not that hard people---just drop it in a freakin mail box!!!!

I agree with you...and how about those people who will return RSVP without putting their name on it..good thing I numbered all my RSVP card.

That really stinks. If you had to invite anyone from LIW you know that it would be in the mail the next day. We know not to play that crap.

I had the SAME problem - People are SOOOOOO rude. It's more than a week later and we still are missing a ton of cards -- and don't even have firm verbal responses from 4 guests.
It doesn't mean they're not coming, though, so don't panic -- It just means they're rude.
You, your FILs, and your parents should start calling people this week to remind them.

The best part is, my friend whose house I am staying at has a PO next door to the laundromat where she goes... which is RIGHT NEXT to her house! And she STILL hasn't sent back her card!

that would make me angry. All of FH's family lives out of state and no one from his side rsvped for our engagement party last summer. His mother and I had to sit down and call everyone off her guest list. It ******!!!!

that is totally frustrating!!! I was in the bridal party for the last wedding i went to .. so obviously the bride knew i was coming and i still sent the card back A.S.A.P ... i just never understood why people wait til the last minute or don't do it at all!!
