Today was my shower!!

Today was my shower--it was like Christmas all over again, but just for me!

Sad that FH isn't here to see all of the wonderful presents we got though. AND, wondering HOW in the world I'm going to get all of this stuff to London!!!

The shower was at DAnford's and my mom and MOH had an intricate plan to get me there :) Just this week I moved back to my parents house from the city in preparation for the wedding, after which I'm moving to London. So, they knew I would be home this weekend. We had block booked rooms at Danford's, so they had the woman in the sales office call me yesterday and ask if I would come down to see her today to go over the block. She asked me to come between 1 and 1:30.

Well, I had no idea...until WEdnesday afternoon....a friend emailed me and asked oh, and by the way, did you get the shower gift I sent? I just wrote back, don't know anything about a shower...

THen, on Thursday night I had dinner in the city with high school friends, who all live in Manhattan--they were all mysteriously going to be out on the Island for one reason or another this weekend, but no one had invited me or told me they would be here, which I thought was strange.

THen I got the phone call from the woman at Danford's, which I thought was a little strange, but then I thought that it was a little extravagant of my mom and MOH to get her involved.

BUT, the clincher was that my mom remembered that we had this 'appointment' today without my reminding her, plus when she came downstairs this morning she was all dressed up and had mascara on!!!! On a Saturday!!

I was never positive it was going to be today, but I had the best time trying to figure it out!! And I was so flattered that everyone turned up for my shower!

Yay the shower! I can't wait for mine!

You can ship it in cannisters. Thats what FH's friends do when they are moving home to Ireland and have carpentry stuff to move.

I think if you call a transcontinental moving company they can help you!

There's a company in the Bronx that I pass on the train all the time but I forgot their name. IF you want I can get it this week for you.
