... going to see RHs... first Jericho Terrace, then Fox Hollow, possibly Westbury Manor and than on to Old Bermuda Inn (on S.I. since im a bklyn bride)

You're a whole year in advance of the date you're looking for and November is not exactly prime wedding season. You should be just fine!

And the other thing is, there are soooo many halls out there, so even if a place you love is booked, there is probably another one extremely similar to it that is still open.

My advise (I booked Nov. back in Aug and some of the dates were gone back then) -- If you are stuck on a date ask if it is available before you go. If you are flexible then go see it and then talk dates!

I agree...i booked a november date in June and most of the dates were gone...keep us posted and good luck!!

Have fun! My advice -- look at every place you want to, even if you think its out of your budget. You might look, and realize that the expensive place wasn't as great as you thought (that happened to me with one place), and feel great. Of course the opposite might happen, but if you don't look you'll always wonder.
I looked at about 10 places, and it was fun. Honestly, every place is beautiful. Every hall has something beautiful and unique about it. I stressed so much about picking the perfect place, and then realized that if I went to a wedding at any of the places I looked at, I'd have thought it was beautiful. So, that was long, sorry! Have fun today!

Good luck and have fun!! It can be a bit overwhelming, but after seeing a couple of places, you and FH will have a better idea of what you want and are looking for. It'll be such a great feeling though when you do book a place!

we went to 4 places and i fell head over heels in love with fox hollow as soon as we walked it.

so we have a hall now too! date, church and hall done in 1 week of being 'officially' engaged
