1st response from a guest that was invited w/o a guest b/c she has no significant other and never even had a serious BF!! I am in shock!! Did this happen to anyone else??

yup- but just w/ her name. no name for the guest just - the no. attending part was filled on w/ 2!!!!

This definitely happens - I don't understand why people do this.

One couple we invited responded with 5 and another couple responded with 4. Both couples wanted to bring their kids... I guess they didn't read 'adult reception' on our reception card.... After a few phone calls by my DH and MIL, one couple understood and the other decided not to come at all.

They missed out on a great wedding!!!
