Todays lovely vents - dress is home!

Well my coworkers were nice enough to surprise me with a special luncheon. It was so lovely they all exchanged stories of when they got married and handed me a card with some cash in it. I really didn't think they would do something so nice but they did!

Then I get bad news - my sister in law (my bridesmaid) and my flower girl got the flu and they been hiding it from me so i wouldn't panic until today. Both of them are very ill. It looks like my bridesmaid and flower girl may not be well enough for sunday. Hopefully they will be well enough but who knows at this point.

I had my first cancelation also today my aunt and uncle can't make it due to recovery from a surgery taken longer then expect.

SO moving on to my dress fitting. My last one - finally get the dress on and she did take it out a bit like I requested since she made it too tight when she took it all in. Its not perfect. My mom is more disappointed then anything which makes me sad. It wrinkles around my stomach area a bit and its because of how the lace is tacked on the dress. Nothing can be done but oh well I will live. No one showed up for my final fitting - all bridal party members were sick or 'forgot'.

So at this point fh and i are like this wedding should of just been us and two witnesses. No bridal party. I thought by having a small bp that things would be easier but it hasn't. Learned my lesson.

AND NOW its supposed to rain on sunday. My dream has always been to take pics at this special place and now that maybe ruined. Oh well - gotta keep trucking along with a smile. LESSON: Don't make things ruin your day just keep moving along and hopefully something good will happen in the end

i think your dress looks lovely! don't sweat the small stuff!if it makes you feel any better i have the same problem around the waist on my dress but i was told tonight when i went for my fitting it's just my body and is due to the fact that i have a small waist for someone 'my size' for the record i completely took that as a compliment (street size 10)

and all the other stuff seriously don't worry about it - your day will be perfect REGARDLESS!

I am sorry your dress isn't exactly as you had hoped it would be!

thank you so much for sharing not only your joys but also all of the things that are weighing you down.

I am happy you are so hopeful!

I will pray for sunshine on Sunday, and if it should rain I hope it leaves behind a gorgeous rainbow!

You look so amazin in that dress! It is so feminine!!

Hey get out of the dumps, you need to start getting excited, your most amazing day is almost here!!!! I think we ALL at some point have wished we had just run away with FH and eloped, people suck and don't realize how important little things liek being at a dress fitting means to us brides!

Try to keep a smile on your face, things are NEVER as bad as they seem! I will hope for Sunshine for Sunday but if not, keep remembering that the rain is good luck! It rained on my brother's wedding day and he's the luckiest S.O.B. I ever met!

CHEER UP
