Today's Plans!!!

So, I'm up at the crack of dawn (or what feels like it) to get ready to go dress shopping today!!! My best friend is on a bus right now from Buffalo, where she lives, to come dress shopping with me, and my mom, FMIL and another bridesmaid are coming too!!

Going to Village Bridal in Babylon for my first appointment, and then to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place for their Lazaro trunk show.

Just not sure if I'm ready to pull the trigger on actually buying a dress!! For those of you ladies who have already bought your dress, did you have that 'overwhelming, over the top, brings tears to your eyes' moment, or did you just know what looked good and what felt good on you?

I'm constantly worried about making the wrong choice. I have a very distinct vision in my head, and would like to get as close to it as possible, but I'm worried that if I make the wrong decision now, the next year and 2 months is going to be a nightmare!!

I'm excited, but I'd love some reassurance that I'm not completely out of my mind!!!

Thanks ladies!!! I'm going to go with my mom next month, after a couple of weeks off to think about it. She agrees that I got overwhelmed, but after thinking about it some more, I wasn't actually overwhelmed by everyone's opinions, because they actually pretty much all agreed with me. I was more overwhelmed as to what I thought they were going to say.

I think I'm leaning more toward LZ3300, in an ivory color as opposed to the pink that is featured on the website.

Katie, I think we may be bridal soulmates.

I really appreciate everyone's input!! It makes me feel like I'm going in the right direction!

They're both beautiful! I think I like LZ3300 a little better though. You'll look stunning in it, and I think it'll be easier with just your mom there with you. I went with just my mom and it was so much better that way.

Stacy - I LOVE the LZ3300!!!! I told you everyone gives their opinions....even if it's just them agreeing with you, it's STILL overwhelming. When I picked out my dress, I knew it was the one b/c I looked good in it. It totally flattered my figure and I felt like a princess in it. In the end go with whatever you feel good (and comfortable) in. Good luck girl!

Hey! So I got my dress...its Essence of Australia and its gorgeous...I put it on an I just knew ...it was the 2nd dress i tried on out of about 15...I decided i needed to try ALL the dresses on just to make sure it was the 'Right one' but I knew this dress was MINE...after i tried on all 15 duds, I put on the 'one' and I knew it was for me....i love love love my dress and I can't wait till I start having my fittings!! You'll definitely find your perfect one :)

Marie, you were totally right. I like havig everyone there, but feeling like they really don't like the dresses on me is extremely overwhelming. And I think I'm leaning toward 3300 more, but I want to try it on again without the peanut gallery.

I'm going to try one more salon with different designers I think, before I decide which dress I am going toget. Anyone have any suggestions on where to go? I was thinking the wedding center in commack.
