Do any of you have one of those toys that is supposed to 'grow with your baby'. The infant overhead gym/musical thing that converts to a standing toy/musical thing of some sort? Has your child continued to use it or did he/she get bored with it?

Fran, the only thing we have that I can compare this to is the exersaucer that we chose for Paul. It is the activity farm one that converts to a train track when the child is big enough - you just take it apart.
I will say that Paul is mildly entertained by the train aspect - but, he does grow tired of the toys after only a little while, b/c even though it converts, the toys still only make the same noises, the same lights flash, etc. I still like the choice we made (in terms of the exersaucer itself), but it didn't live up to Paul's standards for as long as I would have hoped.

I think we have the toy you are talking about -- And Aidan is bored with it -- He may sit with it ince in a while and stick toys ( other than the balls that are supposed to) in the holes-- but we are getting ready to pack it away -- I just have to figue out what to do with it !

I think the only truly grows with your baby toy is mom's pots and pans and boxes..kids seem to never grow tired of those items. I know my niece has played with her little tykes kitchen for many years since you can add pieces and buy new stuff for it.
