I have my first fitting this weekend and I have no clue what to bring with me as far as undergarments. My dress is somewhat corset like so do I even need to wear a bra? I was thinking of wearing spanx? I am going to head to Macy's or Victoria's after to work but have no clue what to look for. I have no friends or family in NY so I am going at it alone. ANy help would be appreciated.

you most definiely need to bring whatever you are planning on wearing under the dress when you get married. If you plan on wearing spanx, bring those. Your attendant who measures you will tell you if you need a corset type bra, even if your dress is corset like ( most are ) you still may need the extra support and shape of a good bra.

i have a corset dress and i'm having the cups sewn in. I'm not that big on top so i don't need extra support, so i'm not wearing anything under my dress except undewear!

if you are unsure, just bring a camisole because a lot fo time the dress shop has bras you can try on to see what style is best. You can keep the cami on and try different bras over it.
Your bra on your wedding day should hold you in, keep clean lines under your dress and offer support.
If you choose to buy a bra they offer, look around. It shouldn't cost you more than 50$-70$ depending on your size.
I am a DD and my bra was 65$, but I kind of figured that.

I wore lace boyshorts for my trial (which I plan on wearing for the wedding too). I'm not wearing a bra (don't need to- cups sewn in). You can call your bridal salon before and ask them- that's what I did. They asked my bra size & said I was fine with no bra. Good Luck!
