FOCUS
It's sort of like pre-cana only it last about 30 mins instead of 8hrs and it's an individual thing rather than a group thing. We have to go in a answer 150 question (agree, slightly agree, don't agree) separately and then they run our tests thru a computer and the results show our 'compatability'... basically it opens up the lines of communication on things we may have never talked about like finances, how to raise our children... so on and so forth.

HAHA! No it's thru the church. I guess it's a new requirement these days.
I'm a true blond and trust me I gave him the crooked eye when he told us about FOCUS. I was like 'huh?!'

As much as it's a pain in the *** all the girls I've read have really seemed to enjoy FOCUS and Pre-Cana and what they opened up in their relationships...good luck!!!

i didnt think it was a requirement yet?

i just found out that THIS pre cana session is Oct-Nov so I cant go bc i will be in italy

for not getting it over with but

for italy!

now we have to wait til april-may

Great! I am surprised they are letting you go so early...my church said I had to wait until next year!! Lucky you..I would rather get it over with!

so all churchs are doin focus and precana?...i think focus would be awesome just to see what is our take on different situations.

FOCUS was interesting. Our answers have to be imput into a computer and then we'll meet with the Deacon to go over the results.
A lot of the questions were very 'old' and definitely hysterical...'Do you think marriage gives you the right to demand sex? Agree, Disagree, Uncertain' We were dying!!!

The church told us we can do FOCUS and Precana whenever or however early we want which is nice because we can get it out of the way.
FOCUS this morning only lasted about 45 mins. We were in and out.

Precana is a requirement in all RC Churches, no?
