I will be going into surgery at 5:45 AM. I am having my gallbladder removed




I dont want to miss any information on TWOTY!
I hope that I can get onto my phone in the hospital!

I had mine out in February!!! You'll be fine, good luck!

Good lord, who knew there were so many of us who are gall-bladderless?!

I had mine out the end of January, and was out of work for about a week. Make sure the nurses show you the best way to get up afterwards (you need to roll on your side and swing your legs over the edge of the bed).

i have never had any surgery, never broken a bone, got a stich. nada. so im nervous but im sure ill be okay! thanks for the well wishes!! :)

No problem! I'm jealous that you know ahead of time - mine was semi-emergency, so I didn't have any time to process anything until a week afterward, when I freaked out.

OH! Another tip!! They give you a breathing thingy (or at least they are *supposed* to) to help you clear our your lungs because of the anesthesia - it will make you cough - so when you use it, have a pillow on your stomach and hold it against your stomach to provide counterpressue so it doesn't hurt as much. You can use the same trick for when you need to use the bathroom.
