I am going to meet with the Cantor tonight for the first time!

He is a friend of a friend so I hope it all works out!

Im excited though!

OK, this might sound ridiculous, but what does a cantor do at the wedding? Do you have one with the rabbi? Sorry if its a dumb question, I'm curious!

its been a nightmare to find one!

not a dumb question at all...

you do not have to have a cantor with a rabbi (fh and i are just having a rabbi). A cantor will sing during the ceremony instead of having it done strictly by the rabbi speaking.

...at least thats what i think it is lol our rabbi said if we were interested in adding one he can give us some recos but we decided against it.
