I sure hope that the 'New York Yankees of the Bronx' can win!

I want to see a few wins in a row from the Yankees. Preferably, blowout wins. They need to step it up.

Question: if Jaret Wright's on the DL, who'll get his spot in the rotation?

Colter Bean was temporarially called up to help the bullpen out for a few days.

But they plan on bringing up Chien-Ming Wang to take Wright's spot in the rotation.


This will be a good test for the Yanks to see where they stand. They are finally playing a real MLB caliber team, not named the Sox.

Thanks for the info. I've heard good things about Chien-Ming Wang and am looking forward to seeing what he can do!

And I agree... this series will be an important test. I'm especially wondering whether or not Mariano can handle other talented teams better than he can handle the Sox.

Actually... they played their first five years in Los Angeles. Then they moved up to Anaheim.

They changed their name to the Anaheim Angels when Disney bought them.

They now added Los Angeles into their name solely to promote themselves more in the LA area where their franchise roots are. Its a pure marketing ploy... nothing more.
