Tonight's our final meeting with our DJ... will we be able to listen to our intros?
I have the paperwork filled out...
but I'd like to discuss with him possibilities for intro music and listen how it sounds... is that what tonight is about? What usually happens at the final meetings with DJ's?

basically, you give them your money, discuss any specifics - your song choices and must play or do not play lists. I doubt they would actually play anything for you.. They usually don't have music on hand, they load it in a few days before the wedding. They can probably give you advice to what would work the best though, if you have some choices you are not sure of.

For our last meeting, we handed over the final payment, went over the intro list, made sure everyone was being announced properly, shook hands and went home. There was no music played, we trusted them.

at our final mtng, we talked about everything and our DJ played everything for us also, our 1st dance song to make sure we had teh right version, all of the intros...he was really great.

do I have to give the final payment tonight? The contract says 'upon completion of set up in cash, certified check, or money order'. Don't I do it the night of the wedding? (or have the DOC do it?)

It depends on your contract -- sounds like you make your final payment the night of the wedding, Sarah! You can call your DJ to ask, though.

okay... good. whew! Didn't go to the bank to have that ready for today! If that's what my contract says, then I think I'm good to go. .
