I have been so busy with work that I have barely been on in weeks!!! Today since I have off I'm trying to tackle as much as I can.... so now on to the favors!
We've decided we want to do a candy buffet and I'm trying to decide what size boxes I want to get. I love the little chinese take-out boxes but the question is, do I get the small 1/2 pint size or the medium 1 pint size?
The 1/2 pint are very cute but they are also tiny, the pint is what you would get like rice in from a take out place and I think it may look a little bulky the 1/2 pint would hold a cup and the pint would hold 2 cups....
What kind of candy are you giving? I think 1/2 pint is fine if you are doing small candy otherwise your guest might get a sugar overload.

Re: Too big or too small?
haha yes i thought the same thing, although its meant for them to take home
We were going to try to stick to smaller stuff -- m&ms, gumballs, reeses pieces etc but also do some fun stuff like swedish fish and tiny lolli pops, but those could always stick out of the top

I was interested in doing the same thing. Where are you getting your boxes from?

Re: Too big or too small?
1/2 pint also means you wouldnt have to buy a super large amount of candy to fill all those boxes.

Re: Too big or too small?
I thought the 1/2 pint was small, but I received one as a favor. You would be Jaw on the floor shocked at how many m&ms fit in that thing!

probably from the website i have the links from, it is actually a paper shipping company but the black boxes are $15 for 100 of them! Oriental trading is like 4x that price!

Re: Too big or too small?
I used the half pint...they are very cute but they are a little small, not big enough for like a lollipop or anything

Re: Too big or too small?
I voted 1 pint, but I think I'm changing my mind to half pint if it's smaller candies!

Re: Too big or too small?
Hi Ladies....I have about 200 pink pint sized take out boxes from my sister's wedding. If you are interested, I'd be happy to give them to you.
