Re: too early????

I'm in your same situation.
I want to register so I can get stuff for X-Mas but I'm afraid that some of the stuff will discontinue.

I'll probably register at the end of this month anyway and see how it goes.

Re: too early????

It depends upon what you need and what your tastes are. Just make sure you register for a variety of products at a variety of prices. Don't be afraid of registering for a few expensive items as they are good gifts that your bridal party or aunts, etc. can get you as a combo gift. My registry from BB and BEyond as everything on it from $1.99 ice cube trays (good for homemade baby food... yes, I'm in that mode) to a $369. All Clad pot set which I doubt I'll get as I don't have a bridal party.

Just a hint, no one person is yet to get me anything from Fortunoff's (my crystal) as my friends are finding it's much more convenient to get to BB and Beyond, plus they have that coupon. I'm going to ask my Dad and brother to get me whatever they want from the Fortunoff registry as my X-mas gift.

Oh and BB&B gives cash if you return.

Re: too early????

I doubt it's ever too early, I plan on waiting since I have heard too many people having to add to their lists as items were discontinued.

Re: too early????

where to register definitely depends on what you need.

Fortunoffs - if you want crystal, bedding
target - if your starting from scratch
bed bath and beyond - starting from scratch and beyond
pier 1 - funky style
crate & barrell - a little more contemporary edgey personality
william sonoma - culinary guru

there's also macys, bloomingdales, home depot, pottery barn

Re: too early????

We registerd in May 2003 for our wedding (2/05) so I don't think you're too early at all.
We're registered at Fortunoff's and Macy's.

im registering tomorrow because my fiancees mother's friends want to buy us engagement gifts...I think its a bit early so we are only registering for stuff that wont discontinue or that involves color schemes.

Re: too early????

registering was one of the things we were looking forward to so we did it right away. which was definitely a good idea because now we barely have time with work, school, and planning everything else.
