Too early for a registry?

I have about a year and 4 months until my wedding..do you think its too soon to register? I know one of the stores i want to have it at already..im just afraid of adding stuff to the registry to soon, can you take it off at a later time if you change your mind?? thanks!

I registered a year and half prior to my date and honestly I would say wait unless you are having a engagement party and you want gifts. I would deff. do it on the year mark and then check it freq. for any discontinued products.

We just registered since we are having an eparty in May. We just put things like picture frames, vases, wine glasses, cake cutter, and little things for entertaining.

Also, the lady at Bed Bath and Beyond brought up a good point, we didnt want to make too big of a registry because alot of our guests at the eparty are giving us money so we didnt want to waste our time. But she pointed out that we have 2 years until the wedding...and that there are alot of holidays between now and then. So we made it a little bigger than planned and will most likely get Christmas gifts from our families off the registry!

Yes, you can take stuff off the registry later if you change your mind (and you can return items that people buy you that you change your mind on as well).

It's not too early, just don't register for towels/bedding yet because those items are the most likely to be discontinued.

We just registered. It's probably a bit early but that's ok....you can just log in and monitor it and remove and add things online as you please.

You can register early. We got engaged in January 2005 and register that spring because we had our engagement party in August 2005. When we add things we do and when we need to change things we do.
