Okay Im a loonie but i like to be finished by the end of October...
ANyone have any ideas of nice but inexpensive gifts?
DH took a very big pay cut with his new job so we have to be super careful this year....

Not at all too early. I did mine the last week of October.
What type of things are you looking to buy? There are always good deals at Bath & Body Works if you have women in your fam that are into lotions etc. They give coupons, and you can walk out of there with tons of presents.

Christmas....I don't even want to think about it! But I think its great that you girls get your shopping done so early, it's probably not a bad idea!

you're not a loony - I like to be done before Thanksgiving.
I haven't even thought about it yet this year though and probably won't until we get back from the HM in December!!!
If you need PJ's and clothes, I'd check out Old Navy.

I originally wanted to get my mom a pandora bracelet...
but thanks to recent doctors visits and dh's new work wardrobe, we dont have much left (And my wonderful hubby put most of our money in a UNTOUCHABLE cd lol)
So, mom, dad, sister, his mom and dad...
I think we may just do gift card forthem to eat? I hate giving gifts like that to them though :(

go to tanger outlets if you can. the one in riverhead has some really great deals now, and you won't have to contend with the holiday rush yet.

Right after Christmas, Im already shopping for the next year...the sales are always so good! Im usually done by the end of October. I buy everything little by little. There's never a time when its too early for Christmas

I just saw 3 ads for jewelers that were giving Pandora bracelets away if you bought 3 charms. I love my bracelet.

LoL I think with buying a house... we're going to have to skip xmas this year lol ... but to answer your question... we never go that early... we're lucky if we start getting gifts the week before

I have seen this mentioned lately on the boards and think it would make a great keepsake gift for your mom, sister and mil. Do you still have your bouguet? Maybe make them a chaplet or something out of the rose petals. I don't know anything about them, how many you can make out of your flowers etc. But the prices seem reasonable. Just google beads from rose petals for some ideas.

I do the same thing! I hate feeling pressured to buy something so i like to give myself plenty of time t find the perfect gifts at the best prices
I would try the Christmas Tree Shop or any of the stores at the Outlets in Deer Park. I love that place for Christmas shopping!

Some years I try to go early. other years I find myself still shopping on Christmas eve.
this year.. with the wedding and HM... I won't be shopping until December... and even so it will be a very light Christmas!! With all the expenses we just can't go too crazy for Christmas either.

now your going to think i'm nuts my daughter is totally done LOL since JULY toys r us had awesome sales so we took full advantage of it shes going to be tha happiest lil girl opening up her hannah monana house and all her other goodies
oh and her b day gifts are done too and thats not till november

You can make everyone a nice gift box full of goodies and get nice boxes at Michael's when they go on sale. I do this most years for my aunts and uncles. I've made chocolate covered pretzels peanut butter cups chocolate lollipop molds
My idea for this year is to make brownie balls on a stick. You bake brownies into a ball - I'm not sure how you get them into a ball shape yet- stick a lollipop stick in it, and then dip it in chocolate when it's cool, and then maybe nuts/sprinkles/sugar, or drizzle it in a different colored white chocolate.
They have great melting chocolate in a place called The Chocolate Duck in Farmingdale or Michael's has the chocolate as well.
