A girl just posted on Brides Helping Brides, why would i look for invites already since my wedding is a year away? Is it too ealry to look and possibly buy invites? I want to shop around alot to get nice ones that are not that expensive

Re: Too Early for Invites?
I think it's never too early to get ideas. I always like to explore my options.
Mailing them out is a different story, lol.

Re: Too Early for Invites?
I've had my invitations picked out for months. I'm not ordering them until oct/nov though.

Re: Too Early for Invites?
Thanks girls, you make me feel better. this girl made me feel as if i was crazy. i know it's going to take forever for me to pick them out, so i definitely thought it was a good idea to start looking now. But, I'm not going to send them out till at least 6 weeks before the wedding.

Never too early! There are so many kinds out there it's better to start now and get a feel for what you like. This way when it comes time to order you're not lost and don't fall behind sending them out.

Re: Too Early for Invites?
Ive been looking around forever! lol But im going to order the ones i want until about 6 months before & then send them out about 3 months before the wedding (so that we could invite others for the No replys). Does this sound right?

I agree. It's always good to see what's out there but don't go sending them out 8 months early or anything like that!

Re: Too Early for Invites?
I already have an idea of what my invites will look like. Towards the end of summer I might order them

Re: Too Early for Invites?
I already have mine. My mom lives in FL and she was up in March, so we ordered them. I think you should work at your own pace. I booked everything within a month of being engaged and all my friends told me to relax. But now I can, everything is done.

Re: Too Early for Invites?
Its not at all too early. For custom invitations, most designers require 6 months BEFORE you want to mail them out. So its good to look around now and see if you like anything so that you have your options open.
