You have time. I'm getting married in May next year and still haven't done that yet
I would say to wait till at least your 1 year mark

I bboked mine in Sept for June '11 I don't think anything is too early especially now. I just know certain people will not book up until certain time before.

I waited to make a trial appt around the same season so that I knew how my makeup would react with the weather. My face changed from dry in the winter to oily in the summer.

It depends on whether or not you want to go to them or have them come to you. If you want to go to the salon, you have plenty of time. If you want them to come to your house/hotel/or site, they can book up to a year + ahead of time. Do you have an idea of who you want?

I don't think it's ever to early to book. I had a trial last week and booked on the spot for my September 2011 wedding.

We are more than midway through 2010 so I don't feel anything booked for our weddings next year is too early. Lots of people book up fast if they ate good.

I would maybe wait until you are at least at the year mark to book. You can most certainly look now - but at least for me I found a lot of MUA's saying that it was a little too early to do trials (this was back when I was above the year mark). On the other hand, if you have some in mind that is very high in demand you may want to try and get a trial with them/book as soon as you can.
I am going for my first trial in August and will most likely book then.

Was gonna wait til at least after I pick out my dress so I can think about how I want my makeup to look. That way when I got for a trial, she can do something for me that'll go with my style for the day and I can see how she does with it instead of something random I just happen to like.

I have to wait until I pick my dress and my hair grows past my shoulders. I don't want to have to do a 2nd trial later on.

I don't think it's too early. Thanks for reminding me to add that to my to-do list! I'm going to book as soon as I graduate next month and have more time. I know I have to book hair ahead of time b/c my wedding is during a holiday weekend and last time I was at the salon, they told me alot of employees try to get vacation that weekend...also some customers have standing appointments each month, so that blocks some appointments also...
