too early to plan nov rehearsal dinner??

I am trying to find a place for a rehearsal dinner and called up a few places to get info. 2 of the places laughed at me - saying it was kind of early. I am getting married mid-Nov - when is a good time to start planning the dinner?

Depending on the size of your RD, you can probably wait until Sept. For a smallish affair, most restaurants probably only one or two months notice.

No, its not too early. I booked my restaurant last October (11 months before the RD!)

I booked in February for August. It depends on what date it falls on, time of rehearsal also. My rehearsal is at 8:00 at night, so I need a place close-by because we're going to be starving by then. Also my church does all that weekend's wedding rehearsals that one night, so you have to think someone might book where you want it first.

I like to book things early as well. Maybe you can go over menus and other details closer to the date but it doesn't matter how early you book the actual place. Good luck.

we booked ours 8 months in advance. Our rehearsal dinner was on a Friday night. If you are doing yours on a week night, then you can definitely wait. But better to be on the early side than the late side and find that places are booked. Good luck

I am looking into to places now form my RD on Nov. 21st....NEver to early
