FH and I were all set to book our honeymoon in Fiji until I saw the length of the flight... the shortest flight looks like it is 29 hours!!! I'm having second thoughts now...

But def. look around and go to a travel agent because I have friends that flew non stop last year to figi.

this would deter me too, but I think Fiji is totally worth it. I wish I could go there
get other ideas for a different places and see what appeals to u more in the end. sometimes long flights are worth it.

omg I could never - i would love to go to greece one day but i can't be on a plan for more than 4 and a half hours

Really?!?! That sounds much better... all of the flights we found had 2 stops!!!

I hear you!!! I hate to fly but love to travel so I suck it up every now and then!!! When we flew to Italy it wasn't that bad because the flight was at night and we got bumped to business class so we had kick @ss meals and seats that changed into full beds (I love you Air France!!!) but on the way home we flew Alitalia and I wanted to kill myself... it was day time so I couldn't sleep, the seats were uncomfortable and the plane smelled weird... the flight was 9 hours... I was never so glad to get off of a plane before!!!

Really?!?! That sounds much better... all of the flights we found had 2 stops!!!

ouch... that is a very long time but if thats where u really want to go than go for it but make sure u stay there for a longer time too :)

29 HOURS!! I would have a total panick attack, lol, I hate flying as it is, I am already starting to pep talk myself for our honeymoon to St. Lucia and I think thats only around 5-6 hrs, lol.

that's exactly where we wanted to go and FH said no way once he saw how long the flight is.. but it has to be worth it.. fiji is like paradise.. looks amazinggggg!!!!

I'm assuming thats b/c of a huge layover right??? From LA its 11 hours, here to LA is about 5 or 6. Maybe wait to see if more flights are released so the layovers are not so bad.
Yikes I know fo sho FH and I could not handle that long of a flight!!!!!

Thats what a lot of people do. Fly to LA and then go to Fiji. You could make a trip out of it if the flight is too long, stay in LA for a night or 2 on the way there and on the way back go to Vegas.
IMO I think it is definitely worth it. You will never be able to take this type of trip once children are involved and its something not many people can say that they have been to.

Check out Qamea Resort!!! It looks amazing!!! if I can find a flight that is 19 hours I am so there!!!

You're right and that is why we originally picked Fiji, it's not like you can drag the kids there some day and since everyone is saying I can find a flight that is 19 hours I am not going to give up yet!!! Just when I saw a 29 hour flight I almost cried!!

flight schedules don't come out until 10-11 months prior, so you have plenty of time. and as things get booked up they could even add flights!
