Too Thin...

I feel people should not comment on a person being 'too thin'. If someone made a negative comment to someone who is heavy, it would be considered cruel.

I am over weight and I have to agree that there is a double standard when it come to comment for 'thin' or 'heavy' people. If someone made the same type of comment about a heavy person, I am sure everyone around would give that persona dirty look, but I never see anyone think twice about saying 'you look a bit thin', which can be just as cruel.

I have been 'too thin' my entire life...people constantly feel the need to remark about 'how tiny' I am...and it does get really annoying. I eat regular meals, and a lot of junk food (love the junk food ) but I just don't gain weight! I have been like this my entire life, and for as long as I can remember people have made remarks to me about it...it really is a double standard...you wouldn't dare say that to someone overweight (unless you are extremely mean!) so this shouldn't be any different. My arms are thin, and I am hoping before the wedding to tone them up a bit...if possible...I am extremely self concious of them. People are always telling me that I am 'so lucky'...but I am very self concious about my weight, and wish people wouldn't feel the need to talk about it. I am not that tall either, so people are always telling me waht a 'tiny' person I am...and it really does bother me!

It's really good to know that I'm not the only one. It rally is anooying when you work very hard to keep your body tomes and fit, and someone who is out of shape comes along and makes one of theie 'Do you eat?', or 'You should gain a few pounds' comments. I think it's better to be a few pounds underweight than overweight. It makes me feel good about myself.
