Took this from the 2010 board and thought it was a good idea...

for the 2011 board. I never introduced myself and just started posting. I thought this would be good so that everyone can get to know each other

Hi, I'm Cynthia and my FH is Joe. I'm 28 and Joe is 25. We met 3 1/2 years ago through a mutual friend and got engaged this past September. I work as a Operations Supervisor for a financial firm and Joe owns his own contracting company. We both live in Queens but getting married in LI. We are getting married in October of 2011 and I can not wait.

This site has been nothing but AMAZING!!!! Can't wait to meet everyone one day

Wait - I'm thinking you want us to introduce ourselves right? I think I mis-read your post, so here it goes:

I'm Eloise, 27 and FH is Michael also 27. I'm from Baldwin and he is from Holtsville aka Guam! We met through our friend Lisa - I went to high school with her and he went to college, at Adelphi with her and were in the same honor society. He is a first grade teacher - this is his first year as a tenured teacher and I work in public relations.

ETA: if I am wrong, well the my bad and sorry to you ladies who read this lol

I'm Jill, 25, and my FH is ALSO Michael, 26. We're both from Mineola and met in high school (he was my first boyfriend...it was brief lol), and then we coincidentally went away to the same college. We crossed paths again at a high school friend's wedding two summers ago, and we finally really clicked. We live in Bethpage now. I just left my job in Broadway advertising to be a freelance graphic designer from home, and FH is a middle school music teacher (my worst nightmare!!) out in Medford.

hi ladies!!!!

I'm Denise and FH is Anthony. We're both 25 and have been together since 9th grade (10 1/2 years). We've been engaged since June of 2008. We didn't do a thing wedding-planning-wise til July of 2009 tho and it was really nice to enjoy our engagement! By the time we get married, we'll have been together 12 1/2 years - OMG - I can't believe one day we'll actually be married after dating so long!! yay! Anyway, right now, we live in Philly bc Anthony is in med school and I'm his sugar momma who works in finance. We have two cats who are like our children. I love to cook/bake and eat, but have to stop so I can slim down for the gown!!!

I'm Alicia and my FH is Jonathan. I just turned 25 on Monday and FH turned 26 last week. We met in college almost 6 years ago and have been together ever since!! I work in HR and FH counsels people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I live in LI and FH lives in Queens (we're planning on living in Queens when we get married).

I'm so happy to have found this site as well! You girls are great and it's so nice to be able to enjoy the wedding planning process with other brides!!

MY name is Michelle and I am 28 years young lol. My FH is Jordan and he is 26 years OLD. We met thru a friends website page. I work on wall street as a AA for an environmental firm and he work for a bank in queens. We are both from queens but getting married in LI.

Welcome and Congrats!!!

Im Michelle and my FH is Richie. I am 25 and FH will be 26 next month. We met through friends at different parties and hanging out. We had our first kiss one drunkin nite! We started talking a few months later and started dating a year after! We have been together for 4 1/2 years now and cant wait to get married!!!!!!

Ohh forgot to put where we work! I am a special ed. teacher I work in nassau with young autistic children. FH is currently unemployed but he use to fix cars, do construction and is currently going to school to be an electrician.

Hi! I'm Dawn Marie ( I prefer to be called Dawn or Dawny.) My FH is Chris. I'm 24 and he's 27. He has the most adorable little daughter, whom I love with all my heart, she's my little chubby chickadee. :) We met because I was friends with his brothers so we had a few run ins here and there and at their moving away party a few years ago, he randomly smacked my @ss at the bar in front my of my boyfriend at the time. We officially met because he found and stalked me on myspace. lol.

As occupations go, I'm an Administrative assistant at an alarm co. in Garden City and FH is a parts professional at Westbury Toyota. We got engaged this past July and We're getting married in July of 2011.

Im completely addicted to this website and I have to say everyone's been very helpful and lets face it..AWESOME. :)

Ok I got it wrong the first time lol. My name is Norma and I'm 30. My fh is Jamal and he is 31. We live in Brooklyn but we are getting married on LI. I'm a registered nurse and fh is a custodian with the NYC Department of Education. We got engaged 2/15/09.

Hi I'm Angie. I'm 27, a librarian, and a mom. My fh is Brian we have been together for 11 years now. we met in a chat room, back when those were cool. It turned out we lived 1 town away from each other, so we met at the mall. We now have a 7 year old. It is about time we actually start making our plans! We have an rh/ch umm...thats it!

Hi, I'm Christine, I'm 23 yrs old! My FH is Michael and he is 27. We met online in Aug of 2005 and have been attached to the hip every since. Michael lives in Long Beach and works for Cablevision. I live in East Meadow and am currently working for the town until I go back to school for my Masters in Biology Education.

I am so thankful to have come across this site. It so great to hear what other brides are experiencing and to be able to relate!

HI, Im Diane and my FH is Anthony. I am 29 and he is 27 (im such a cougar). We met at work in 2002 and dated for four and a half years before taking an almost 2 year break. We got back together in the begining of the year and proposed to me in July. We both live in Nassau and will be getting married April 9 2011

Hey, I'm Doreen and my FH is Scott. I'm 21 and Scott is 23. We met somewhere around the fall of '06 through a mutual friend at a bar. We started dating on July 5, 2008. That's why I believe if somethings meant to be, it will be. I'm a supervisor and waitress at the west babylon friendly's. FH is an hvac installer. I'm originally from brooklyn but i'm a babylon girl through and through. My fh is a north babylon boy. We are getting married on October 1, 2011 and we couldnt be happier : )

Josh [29] and I [Jenn 29] met on a snow day in middle school back in 1993. Nothing happened that day.
In 1998 we both began to work at the local gorcery store together. After I ended a 2 year relationship in 2001Josh was there to be my summer fling. 8 years later we are finally engaged and are getting marriend in 2011.

FH works for the NYC Department of Sanitation and I am a 4th grade teacher in the NYC DOE.

We are both from Queens and have no idea what we are doing for living arrangements when we get married. I think a cardboard box in the box after we pay for this wedding.

Hi! My name is Alyssa, I'm 29 and my FH Simon is 31. We met by means of internet dating! I knew during our 1st date that he was the ONE. After about a year and a half of dating he totally took me by surprise and proposed on 10/30/09. We have been very busy with our wedding planning but have gotten a lot done. Simon lives in Queens and I love on LI. The plan is to buy something together on LI around spring 2011. We also want Hawaii for our honeymoon so I'm trying to be SOMEWHAT frugal with the $$ we spend on things like flowers, invitations,.. small things like that.
